The ASTM Exchange Program kicks off: on-the-job training in different business areas and international intra-group contexts

Renata Trabachin’s three months in Italy mark the start of the Exchange Program, a project involving all ASTM companies designed to promote on-the-job training initiative. The Exchange Program consist of the temporary assignment of resources to Group companies operating in different contexts, businesses and countries, within the same professional family.

Through this project, ASTM aims to encourage the adoption of best practices and knowledge sharing to foster synergies and improve process alignment and communication between companies. In addition to promoting professional development and cultural exchange within the group, the scheme helps to recognise, develop and retain talent, accelerating their growth opportunities.

The first exchange took place between Italy and Brazil, focusing on the area of sustainability: Renata, “Coordenadora de sustentabilidade” at EcoRodovias in Brazil, a subsidiary of the ASTM Group and the country’s leading motorway operator, was welcomed by the Sustainability Department of the ASTM Holding for an immersive experience, working alongside her Italian colleagues.

In this short interview, Renata tells us about her expectations, her goals and how meaningful the exchange has been for her, both professionally and personally. Her stay in Italy has allowed her to appreciate the similarities and differences compared to her usual working and cultural contexts, helping her to gain a deeper understanding of other people’s professional skills and, consequently, her own.
