A bridge dedicated to Alessandro Lencioni: ASTM Group pays tribute to the memory of its colleague
11 February 2026ASTM pays tribute to the memory and contribution of Alessandro Lencioni, a colleague who passed away prematurely in the summer of 2024, by naming the bridge located along the A21 Piacenza-Brescia motorway managed by the Group, near the “Ospitaletto-Montichiari” interchange – a project he designed. This initiative is not a formal act, but a tribute to an engineer whose technical expertise and human qualities have left an indelible mark on ASTM and on the people who worked with him.
Alessandro Lencioni began his journey with the Group in 2001 as a Site Manager at a company later merged with Itinera, a subsidiary of ASTM and an international player in the construction of major infrastructure projects. During his career, he held positions of increasing responsibility until becoming Technical Director for complex infrastructure initiatives, including among others: the construction of the second tube of the Frejus tunnel, an international tunnel connecting France and Italy and the demolition and reconstruction of the Gravagna Viaduct on the A15 Parma-La Spezia motorway.
His colleagues remember his straightforward and effective style, combined with competence, passion and dedication: on site, Alessandro was recognized as a great professional, capable of solving problems with extreme clarity. These qualities made him a point of reference for everyone and a trusted collaborator. Alessandro knew how to put every concern into perspective, thus managing to overcome every difficulty together with the work group.
The dedication of the bridge, whose plaque celebrates his creativity and his ability to get things done, honors the legacy of a colleague who was able to combine technical excellence with a profound human side.
