Investor Program, a bridge between academia and business: ASTM and PoliMi wrap up another year of activities

With the latest series of meetings, the initiatives carried out in 2025 by the ASTM Group as part of the Politecnico di Milano’s Investor Program are nearing completion. The program was created to establish a stable bridge between university education and the professional world, the Group is participating in the third consecutive year. The program’s long-standing goal is to provide students with concrete tools to understand the dynamics of the job market. This is achieved through genuine moments of dialogue with industry experts, essential for helping students translate academic theory into practical, operational experience.

The last four events covered a diverse range of needs, demonstrating the Group’s versatility in engaging with the academic world:

Orientation: Sara Di Giampaolo and Andrea Piscini, both from SINA, the Group’s engineering company, took part in two events, guiding graduates and PhD candidates in enhancing the value of their academic path and highlighting the importance of effectively presenting their projects and university specialization.

Mentoring: The various sessions featured Federica Tofalo from ITINERA—an ASTM subsidiary and an international player in the development of major infrastructure works—in direct dialogue with students. These were moments of exchange aimed at clarifying roles, exploring opportunities and discussing possible professional evolutions.

Technical Deep Dive: The autumn cycle closed with a technical in-class session led by Victor Zanotti of SINA. The evolution of professional roles, projects and the corporate context was discussed, offering a concrete view of the current challenges of the market.

This series of meetings reaffirms the ASTM Group’s commitment to investing in the country’s intellectual capital, offering a real perspective on the professional roles that characterize the infrastructure sector.
