ASTM’s “Competence Forward” learning center prepares us for the future

On International Education Day, an event established by the United Nations General Assembly and held on 24 January to highlight the role of education in social and economic development, ASTM emphasises the importance it places on training for the growth of its human capital and for operating responsibly in the infrastructure sector.

The technological and environmental challenges of the future certainly also affect infrastructure assets, which are essential for the well-being of local areas and their inhabitants. The ecological and digital transition currently underway requires specific skills and awareness to develop innovative solutions aimed at sustainable and interconnected projects. Competence Forward, our Learning Centre, is at the heart of this vision and is divided into five areas:

  • Academytechnical training
  • Lern & Dosoft skills training
  • ESG Hubsustainability training
  • Compliance Deskmandatory training
  • TechInnovationapplied technology

Training is therefore not an occasional investment, but an integral part of our corporate culture: for example, within the Academy, the training year began on 14 January with the conference ‘Constructing around the World: the experience of ASTM Group’, an event attended by around 300 ASTM professionals from around the world to share best practices on the design and construction of safe and efficient infrastructure.

At ASTM, talent development and enhancement embrace both the younger generations and more senior roles, in a valuable transfer of experience that generates exchanges of value, not only in terms of content but also on a human level.
