ASTM brings its vision of future mobility to the ASECAP days in Madrid

The ASECAP Days, the annual international event promoted by the European Association of Toll Motorway Operators, brings together experts, institutions, and businesses to share insights on key trends in the infrastructure and mobility sectors. The 2025 edition, titled “Challenges of Future Mobility: The Role of Road Infrastructure,” took place in Madrid from May 26 to 28.

During the “Driving Innovation” panel, Pietro Contegno, our Chief Information and Digital Transformation Officer, presented the Group’s strategy for the digital and sustainable transformation of motorways. His presentation focused on cutting-edge technologies in artificial intelligence, sensor systems, and cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS). Special attention was placed on emission reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and on innovative projects for structural infrastructure monitoring.

Massimo Rivarola, Sinelec’s Head of Business Development, explained the mobility technologies developed by the company- the technological arm of the ASTM Group, highlighting their key role in improving infrastructure management, increasing operational safety and actively contributing to the transition to a more sustainable and interconnected transportation system.

Adding to the Group’s vision, Francesca Torti, Tender Technical Department Coordinator at Itinera, Group EPC contractor, showcased ASTM’s advanced training program aimed at enhancing the technical expertise of its people. The initiative includes high-level training sessions, on-site visits, and activities specifically designed for young professionals.

ASTM’s participation in the 2025 ASECAP Days confirms the Group’s commitment to contribute to the future of mobility across Europe. This commitment is expressed through tangible actions driven by a strong industrial vision and the expertise to respond to the evolving challenges of the infrastructure sector.
