ASTM and IONITY together for the first motorway charging station in Italy dedicated to electric vehicles
14 October 2025ASTM Group, together with IONITY, officially inaugurated the first motorway charging station in Italy dedicated exclusively to electric vehicles. The new facility is located in the Les Iles de Brissogne Sud Parking Area, along the motorway section managed by SAV – Società Autostrade Valdostane, a concessionaire of the ASTM Group.
This route represents a crucial link between the Italian national network and the main access roads to France and Switzerland, serving traffic flows directed toward Alpine passes and cross-border tunnels. The installation of the charging station therefore meets not only the growing demand for low-emission mobility but also ensures an essential service for travelers along a major international hub.
The new station covers an area of about 5,500 square meters and hosts 27 parking spaces. Of these, seven are equipped with charging points: six ultra-fast (up to 350 kW) and one fast (50 kW). Two stations have also been designed for commercial vehicles. The facility is already prepared for the installation of additional ultra-fast charging points to meet the expected growth in demand.
A direct pedestrian connection allows travelers to reach the food services of the Les Iles de Brissogne Nord Service Area. The entire project was carried out according to the principles of universal accessibility, with spaces fully accessible also to people with disabilities.
